Urgent Appeal: Save Rimon

As many of us already know, our dear friend and an active member of Obolombon, Borhan’s younger brother Rimon, is currently going through one of the most difficult times of his life. Recent medical examinations have revealed that both of his kidneys have failed. To stay alive, he now requires dialysis 2–3 times every week, resulting in overwhelming medical expenses.

Rimon is a hardworking and humble individual. He completed his SSC from Mymensingh Zilla School in 1999 and worked at the internet service provider “Anik Computer & Networking.” He was leading a simple and happy family life through both good and difficult times. He got married in 2018, and today he is the father of a beautiful baby boy who is only 2 months old.

However, their lives suddenly changed due to this harsh reality. Following various medical complications and examinations, doctors confirmed that both of Rimon’s kidneys have been severely damaged. According to his physicians, a kidney transplant is now the only way to save his life.

Rimon’s family members — his father, mother, two elder sisters, and his elder brother Borhan — are all willing to donate a kidney to him. Necessary medical tests and donor matching procedures are already underway. However, as we all know, kidney transplant treatment is extremely expensive, and the financial burden is beyond the family’s capacity.

During this difficult time, we sincerely appeal to all members and well-wishers of Obolombon:

1. An emergency support fund named “Project Rimon” has been established.
2. We request everyone to contribute according to their ability through the Obolombon account.
3. Donation collection will continue from today until 20 October, and regular updates will be provided.
4. Beyond financial support, we also encourage everyone to stand beside Borhan and his family with emotional and moral support.

This is Obolombon’s first initiative. We believe that when people stand beside one another, even the impossible can become possible.
